The Fear Of Losing It All
I live with the fear of losing everything I've worked so hard for.
And this feeling never goes away.
Every day, I'm scared of losing it all:
- The time I've invested.
- The business I've built.
- The reputation I've earned.
They're my life's work.
The nightmare of seeing my house crumble keeps me up at night.
And I can't let it go.
To get here, I've poured in:
- Years of my life.
- Savings I've worked hard for.
- Precious time I could’ve spent with my family.
And it did pay off for me. I got a lot in return.
Most of all is a childhood dream realized.
And that’s the root of my fear. Losing that very dream.
In moments of doubt, I ask myself:
“If I lose it all, what would it take to bring it back?”
This question eases my mind. I know the answer very well.
Over the years, I’ve:
- Made all the mistakes.
- Learned the lessons.
- Honed the skills.
If I had to start all over, I’m certain I would:
- Do less of what didn't work.
- Do more of what worked.
- Take way less time.
This realization alone slows my heart rate, allowing me to fall back asleep.
If you're haunted by the same fear, ask yourself:
“What's the worst that could happen?”
I assure you, it’s not as bad as you fear.
And maybe, like me, you'll accept once and for all that this feeling is never going away.
